This series of weekly slow flow classes will encourage students to focus on their breath and their own body’s needs, while allowing for a deeper exploration of different poses. Incorporating various styles/brands of yoga (Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Kundalini), students will be encouraged to “pause” and take notice of their body, it’s alignment and how they feel throughout transitions and within asanas (poses). Students will also be encouraged to draw parallels between their yoga practice and other areas in their life. Whether it’s using supports, which could symbolize a foundation in their life that is dependable to lean on, or recognizing compassion as a way of being rather than just a word or concept. Maybe it’s finding focus or contentment with where they are or having the courage to try new things. While still an active practice, the intent is to slow things down, “practice the pause” and take notice.
